Ina Garten has been a popular American cook book author for many seasons. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa and began its run in 2002. Ina began her career by working in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy documents. She initially found her career as stimulating intellectually, however, she eventually lost interest and purchased a tiny speciality store for food named Barefoot Contessa. The store was very successful over the course of 18 years until she decided to sell it. After that, she started her first cookbook. The other cookbooks came out, as did magazine columns. Her Food Network TV show also debuted which was an enormous success. Additionally, she offers all kinds of cooking equipment, items and even containers. Ina herself, a self-taught chef and has not attended the culinary institute or at an establishment. Ina is well-known for her simple approach to cooking and effortless entertaining. Her most famous recipes are Lemon chicken skeillet-roasted and Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon and the Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
