Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer as well as a model and actress. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most acclaimed films. She grew up in an artistic family from New York and wanted to pursue a career in arts. Her first position was a photo assistant. Then she moved on to modeling and acting. She received an award called the Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained the world to her and also as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. Within just three short films she was the highest-rated female box office star in the entire world. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 and signatures were recorded at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television series The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was released. MacGraw was married three times.
